The fine arts department is proud of its commitment to quality art and music programming for all students K-12. We have a city-wide art show every spring that highlights work from all schools in the district at UICA downtown. We also have some special programs like Mona Lease a Art and the annual Arts Jam that promotes quality work within the community.

The following fine arts field trips are available to all kids in our schools on an annual basis:

1st Graders - Visit the GR Childrens Museum for one of their yearly programs 
2nd Graders - Visit the Civic Theater to experience live theater in connection with a children's literature book.
3rd graders - Visit the GR Art Museum (LEED certified)
4th graders - Visit Fredrik Meijer Gardens for the art of observation
5th graders - Attend a GR Symphony Concert to learn instrument families
6th graders - Participate in an outdoor fitness sculpture walk to learn about famous sculptures and how our bodies can physically enhance that experience
